President Obama: "Now is the season for action"
Posted: 9/9/09
"Well the time for bickering is over. The time for games has passed. Now is the season for action. Now is when we must bring the best ideas of both parties together, and show the American people that we can still do what we were sent here to do. Now is the time to deliver on health care." We agree. It's time for Congress to join the President, turn the corner and deliver real health care reform now. E-mail President Obama's call for real health care reform to your Senators
Far right dishonors the memory of Sen. Ted Kennedy
Posted: 9/1/09
In his radio show, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee coldly remarked that under President Obama's health care plan, Kennedy would have been told to "go home to take pain pills and die" during his last year of life. Send a message to Huckabee's sponsor demanding that they stop supporting lies.
Co-ops are not real health care reform
Posted: 8/20/09
The public option will give Americans real choice, promote competition, lower the cost of care and secure coverage for more Americans. Imagine everyone in America required to have insurance but without a public competitor to keep insurance companies honest. They'll be able to charge you whatever they want and you won't be able to do a thing about it. We simply can't stand for that! Call your Senator and tell them to fight for a public option.

On the news, we're seeing insurance lobbyist-funded plants trying to destroy health care reform. But in places like Rolla, MO and all across our country, there are real people like Jim with real problems --- who need the real solution of reform. Our health care system is broken. Jim knows it. The majority of Americans know it. We need your help now. Send Jim's story to 10 friends so we can focus our nation's attention back where it's needed.

Fire Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis!, 4/27/09
Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis leads the way in the predatory, self-serving culture that got us into this recession and continues to make executives rich at the expense of everyone else. And to add more fuel to the fire, Lewis has been actively lobbying against the Employee Free Choice Act - a bill that would put our nation's workers on the road to economic recovery! This Wednesday, April 29th, Bank of America's shareholders will meet to decide CEO Ken Lewis' future at the company. Join our friends at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in signing a Taxpayer's Proxy Card to show your support for firing Lewis and reforming Bank of America - and they will deliver it directly to Bank of America at their shareholder meeting.

Realizing The Promise, 12/4/2008
We're
witnessing a pivotal moment in our nation's history. President-Elect
Obama harnessed the power of community organizing to rise to our
nation's highest political office. But it wouldn't have happened
without real, everyday people on the ground organizing for change
across the country. That is why more than 2,500 organizers and
community leaders came to DC on December 4th, 2008 to help shape the
agenda for Congress and the new Administration. 32 U.S. states and 2
foreign countries were represented.
America’s Future Starts with Healthy Children, 2008
Families in America have a dream – to lead prosperous lives, give back
to their communities and be healthy. It is time for the dream of being
healthy to be realized for every child and family. 1 in 8 children do
not have health care coverage, making them more vulnerable to
preventable sickness. America is a can-do nation and can come together
to fix our broken healthcare system by sharing the abundant resources
this nation possesses. Now, more than ever, your support for a State
Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) that includes coverage for
all children is needed. Join your voices with people across America to
let our elected leaders know that the health of America's children and
families is a priority.
